The scheduled release date for the Scalextric C3031 Formula One Racing Lotus 49 No. 7 as driven by Graham Hill at the French Grand Prix, Le Mans 1967, is August 2009. On the new shorter Bugatti circuit, Graham Hill was on Pole at the beginning of the race and traded 1st. place position with Jack Brabham and then Jim Clark.  He regained 1st. place from Jim Clark, but had to leave the race when the car experienced a broken crown-wheel and pinion on the 14th lap.

The Scalextric 1:32 scale slot car model replica of the Lotus 49 features a very detailed driver’s compartment and is just frankly very detailed throughout. We first saw the introduction of this new Scalextric model in the Jim Clark Lotus 49 No.5 livery that was included in the 2-car 1967 Year of Legends Set part number C2923a available late 2008. That limited edition set was extremely popular and sold out quickly. You can expect that this new Graham Hill livery will sell through quickly as well. One additional livery scheduled for later 2009 is the C2964 Lotus 49T Gold Leaf Team Lotus, Graham Hill No. 5, Australia 1967.

The Scalextric Lotus 49 includes a Mabuchi FF 18k rpm Motor and 9:27 Gear Ratio. The chassis is design is 2-wheel drive, inline rear-mount motor. The magnet is a round 2.5 mm with a down-force of 235 gm. Overall length is 133 mm and the wheelbase is 75 mm. Axle/Hub width is 56 mm front and 60 mm rear. Tire diameter is 19(ext.) 12(int.) 8 mm front and 20(ext.) 12(int.)  11 mm rear. The car itself weighs 51 gm.
